About Peter

I have been an assignment photographer for more than 20 years, working primarily for magazine, corporate and commercial clients, both in Australia and internationally. I particularly enjoy doing portraits and photo essays.

Commissions from clients have ranged from The Sydney Morning Herald, German GEO, Outback Magazine and corporate clients such as the Commonwealth Bank, Northern Territory Tourism and Qantas Airlines.

The August 9th 2006 issue of Time magazine, in which I was a major contributor, introduced me as one of 'Australia's finest photographers'.

I have lived and worked in both urban and outback Australia, and have recently completed a three-year stint based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Through my work I have cultivated a broad understanding of the nature of Australia and its people.

In my day to day assignment work, I use the latest high definition Nikon D3 Digital Cameras and supporting software systems, which allows me to readily supply commercial quality images to anywhere in Australia and the world.

Between assignments I maintain a keen interest in social issues and cultural trends in the Australian and Asian region. As a result I have worked on numerous books, exhibitions and film projects and have compiled an extensive body of images, many of which have featured in major exhibitions and public collections.

Thanks for visiting my website. While you are here, please take a look at my portfolio, current projects.
